Professional Profile:

After joining in our Beijing Office in 2007, Rita has handled thousands of PCT international applications, US, CN, EP, AU and SEA patent applications and Office Actions for Chinese and overseas clients, Rita has developed a deep understanding on the patent regulations and prosecution practice in these countries. Rita also invests her time to truly understand the clients' needs, advises the clients based on their needs and helps them to build overall patent strategies and aligns their overall business goals with the overseas patent protection.

Rita is the founder of the outbound division which deals with over 2500 export patent applications and 4000 Office Actions per year to more than 15 countries.

From 2024, Rita Zhang has been appointed as the general director of marketing in the Americas, Europe, Oceanian and SEA. Her responsibility mainly includes assigning the export cases, supporting the import and export cases, engagement with the overseas partner firms and companies.

Prior to joining Dragon IP, Rita has worked as a research engineer for five years in the field of digital audio and video broadcasting technology.
